April 2007Dear Kimi:
I just wanted to write to let you know that it is wonderful that you have saved so many dogs. I have the same dream of accomplishing what you have accomplished. Ever since I was little I have loved animals. Right now, I have a little chihuahua named Tinkerbell (she's my WORLD), a cat named Louie (they play together all the time chasing each other around... he has no claws of course) and I have another older dog named Snowball who is part pomerarian/poodle... he's a bit bigger than Tinkers, but not much.
Anyway, it is on this Easter holiday that I visited your website and wanted to donate something. I have been saving money for a while now and I am planning a trip to California [soon].
My mom, who is my best friend, and I are coming out there to have a mother/daughter trip and enjoy ourselves. When I read about all the abandoned little guys/girls you have, I really wanted to adopt one, but then I noticed that you don't adopt to anywhere else than LA. I currently live in New Jersey, but am moving to Pennsylvania to finish my college career.
I would love to stop in to see you guys when I come down to California, if that would be all right with you. If that is possible, please let me know... I would LOVE to come and visit and give you my donation in person. I would also like to take a little one home if that's possible. Please write back and let me know if I can be of some help.
It is truly a miracle what you have done.
God Bless.
Sincerely,
Angela M. D'Amico
P.S. -- I have attached a picture of my little Tinkerbell baby... isn't she adorable?

I just love Kimi! I went to visit Kimi's new place with my boys. They had a great time exploring the place and seeing all the dogs! Evan now wants to become a Vet because of Kimi's influence and her love for animals. He loved visiting her when she was in Burbank and misses being able to spend his Saturdays there helping out. He completed all of his High School service hours at Chi Rescue and even logged an extra few hundred hours because he enjoyed it so much.I'll never forget one trip that Evan went on with Kimi. She was going to the Lancaster Shelter to save a Chi, not only did she save the Chi, but also came back with a 120+lb Mastiff that the staff had fallen in love with. My son sat in the back of Kimi's small car with this Mastiff slobbering on him… too funny. My 14 year old son, Jordan, is also in the photo below playing with the dogs. These dogs look happy and healthy, and very well fed to me.

Kimi Peck
This is all just another attempt to help little doggies by Kimi Peck. I don't know what her next step will be, but my guess is that she will be trying to find another way to provide a good life for rescue dogs or do something — because this is just a person who does not take no for an answer and just continues to help little dogs. Kimi Peck, in keeping with her prior actions, seeks to help all sorts of animals. Anyone who comments about her care and treatment of animals ought to be heard and joined by others. Peck was mentioned in newspaper headlines in 2003 when she saved 170 Chihuahuas from being euthanized. Her real aim is to help little dogs. I applaud those who do speak out about the need for good care for animals and, if you truly care about animal welfare, you should too.

I have adopted one of her dogs... The dog is a 18 lb mutt from San Pedro that no other rescue organization wanted. He was going to be killed. Now, he is the love of my life. All because of Kimi, I have the best friend in the world. My Jinky... I've seen Kimi with animals. She loves them and cares for them...

Kimi Peck
I have known Kimi Peck for ten years and she was rescuing dogs at the time I met her and had been for five years prior to that. The number of dogs she has saved is in the "thousands" and all done with her own money. Prior to that she had been rescuing horses from the slaughter auctions, rehabilitating them and "giving them away" to good homes. I don't know exactly how much of her own money she has spent but I feel comfortable saying it is in the millions. She provided horse stables and property for the horses and has provided facilities for the dogs as well. She used to pay all vet bills with her own money until her funds ran low and good people started donating to her amazing efforts. The woman is selfless when it comes to animals in need.
